The Diplomat Magazine
For anybody interested in Asia-Pacific news and current affairs, the Diplomat magazine is the ideal publication. Originally an Australian bi-monthly magazine, The Diplomat now offers news, editorial, interviews, and factual pieces on stories from around the region and how they affect the Asia-Pacific market. Political and security features are joined by business and economic analysis. How do US policy changes affect the challenges that Asia-Pacific businesses face? The Diplomat answers questions like these and many others with interviews with professionals from various markets.
Arts and entertainment, as well as news on the environment are also covered in depth within the glossy, professionally published Diplomat magazine. General interest pieces can also be found to satisfy the interests of a broad audience.
The Diplomat magazine was first published in Sydney, Australia in April 2002, by founder Minh Bui Jones, who brought on student David Llewellyn-Smith as publisher. The magazine soon became an influential Australian publication. Ian Gerrard became the editor following the purchase of the magazine in December 2007 by Tokyo-based Australian James Pach, who expanded its scope to cover the Asia-Pacific. The magazine is now published online to a large and influential audience, with a digital edition available to subscribers.
